Only 42% of fathers engage in activities that promote learning.

Early Childhood Development
UNICEF has successfully advocated for the Department of Health to set up an online channel for breastfeeding counselling.
UNICEF has supported the development of high quality and widely available health and nutrition services across a range of key areas in line with the Comprehensive Child Care Framework.
UNICEF has worked with the Department of Health to communicate more about early childhood care, especially nutrition, to parents through various communication channels and through parent school services in hospitals.

Since 2003, more than 100,000 children have benefited from UNICEF’s learning project.
Every year, more than 1,000 new children are enrolled in school.

Mobile Library
The UNICEF-supported “Mobile Library” brings age-appropriate books to more than 11,600 students in remote areas in 5 provinces: Chiang Mai, Tak, Mae Hong Son, Yala and Loei.
Currently, there are 10 mobile library vehicles, each carrying more than 1,200 books.
“A Book A week” is a project that helps promote reading and use of the school library, benefiting more than 100,000 children in 157 schools in 19 provinces across the country.
